High Beam Headlamps
 

Hello All,
I have a very basic question. I have a 1993 Bonneville SLE; and I purchased a set of the typical eBay "super blue" 5000k low beam and high beam replacement headlamp bulbs. The low beams seem ok; but the high beams are terrible. I have also noted that when I kick on the high beams, the low beams shut down. Is this supposed to happen? Maybe these bulbs are generating too much current or amp draw and that is a protection feature? I never checked them with the OEM Sylvanias too see if it was doing the same thing. Also, if anyone has a set of bulbs that work great, your feedback is much appreciated.... I do a lot of rural night driving. Thanks to all, Dennis

anyway yes the lows and the fogs go off when the highs go on

dont but crap off of Ebay. Sylvania Silverstars are the best replacement bulbs

Thanks for the info. Looks like I need to bite the bullet and buy the good stuff.....
