Default supercharger going out.....?

today i noticed a grinding sound developed inside my supercharger.1992 ssei.kinda like bearings with no lube.is my supercharger goin out?any ideas?

If it sounds like rocks rolling around it could be the coupler. Pull the belt and move the pulley back and forth. Do you feel play? If it sounds like metal grinding it could be the bearings.

Take a look at this. https://www.gmforum.com/normal-maintainence-138/change-supercharger-coupler-279064/

Not the same supercharger, but still the same test. You will need to remove the supercharger to change the coupler. Figure on a few hours to do the job.

As far as i know, the actual construction of supercharger itself, should not produce that sound, but u should check its pulley, it could be easy fix.
