Diagnosis needed: Annoying squeak & I can't find it!!!
I'm in search of some ideas...I've got a terribly annoying squeak that presents itself everytime I either hit a bump in the road or close one of the doors moderately hard. It sounds like I've got a cricket living somewhere on my car & I can't seem to locate where it is coming from. Any ideas where I might look? I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out. It has been going on for about a month and if I can't find it, I'm going to have to take it into the shop for help cause its gonna drive me nuts! . :?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have a similar condition... seems to be the front passenger door. every time i drive down a gravel road it sounds like a cricket. i'm guessing its the hinges, as the door also seems to sag a little these days, but i've been too lazy to fix it. my guess would be get out the wd40 and go to town on your hinges.

re:
Well, I took your advice and lubricated all of the doors, as well as the strut bearings. No luck so far. I'm open to any other suggestions you guys might have.
thanks

Re: Squeek
I am not at all sure that this will fix your squeek, but it did mine. I sprayed all of the rubber to metal (or metal to rubber) isolators or mounts that I could find under my car with a high quality rubber conditioner spray right after I bought my car about six years ago. (sprayed all the rubber I saw under there) Stopped my squeeks. I forget what product I used. Seems if I recall right I went to NAPA and asked them - told them I wanted to lubricate the chassis mounts. Anyway, as the rubber dries out with age and dust gets in there, too, squeeks develop. The good news is that they haven't come back on my car. Good luck.
