Default E.C.C Blinking

Hope someone can help me with this....... This morning when I started my car (a 92 ssei) the temperature on the electric climate control was blinking. After about 1 min. it stopped, was wondering why this is happening and what I can do to fix it.
Thanks for any help you can give me

We have a techinfo article for extracting the fault codes from the 92/93 ECC unit.

Default Re: Flashing ECC

I just had that happen in my '93. I think the '92 is like the '93 in that you can run the self-diagnostic in the ECC and determine where your problem lies. In my case it turned out that the motor actuator for the temp adjustment door had become erratic and required replacement. This was a BIG job. However, it could be that it is something as simple as your system needs refrigerant servicing. Take a good look at the tech info Wilren pointed you to and determine what the code is, etc. Go from there.

Mine does this once a year or so for 'long term freon loss'. Yet I've never lost a gram of freon, and the system is ice cold. I simply clear the code and go on with life.
