Default Found some unhooked lines! WHAT R THEY!?!

On the rack and pinion drivers side boot there is a metal line coming out that goes to the other side of the rack and pinion twice the size of a metal brakeline. what is it? Its unhooked on my car, and has been for as long as ive had it but somehow have never noticed it.
ALSO
coming out of the bottom of the blower motor is a plastic line, What is this? again has been unhooked. Could this have something to do with lack of AC?
THANK YOU GUYS

Drain tubes for when it rains perhaps? Or drain tubes to drain condensation from the A/C system?

On the bottom of the blower motor, there is a short (about 3") plastic tube going back into the firewall, just below the motor.

I'm told that this is a vacuum line that allows the actuators to direct air flow, and that if disconnected, you will only get air from the windshield vents. It also cools the motor somewhat.

The rack & pinion has a vent tube that goes to the rubber bellows. This keeps the bellows from blowing off or collapsing when you turn "lock to lock"

The blower has a short molded vent tube that goes from the blower motor casing to the blower flange. Does not effect the A/C. Just prevents moisture build-up.
