I want/need to change the PCV and MAF. From the Chilton (sp?) book I bought it looks as though the PCV is under one of these bad boys???????
Can you point me in the right direction and any tips on changing it.

Also which one..if any of these two is the MAF/MAP sensor...whats the difference between the 2?

FIRST PIC!!!
Thats the MAP sensor. Pinch the two tabs and pull it off.
Once thats off you'll see the plastic nut built into the pvc cover, A little twist and its off.
Lift up and you'll see the pcv valve. Pay attention to the o-rings and possibly spring in there.
Reassemble the way it came out and your done.


PS - the item in your second pic is the EGR valve.
The MAF sensor would be the retangular module to the south and right, just barely visible in your pic.

pps:
MAP = Manifold Air Pressure - Measure the pressure of the air in the intake manifold.

MAF - Mass Air Flow - Measures the amount of air coming in.

EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation - Allows exhaust gas to enter the combustion process for better gas mileage and to cool the cylinders/pistons

But now for dumb question number 2....is it supposed to have a lite coat of oil on it?

Yes, for it is that unit, through which, engine oil fumes is drawn from the inside of the engine, to be burn with the regular incoming air/fuel mixture.
