Default stupid weight ??

now this might seem preatty odd to be asking.. but, how heavy would you guys say the block is with the internals still in? could me and my brother lift it out of the car without a cherry picker? i cant get one in time for when i go back to AZ.. but my dad told me i could pull it out so i dont have to do so much work with the engine in the car still.. since i dont live at his home its kool that hell let me keep it in the garage until i come back from AZ.. haha..

if you dont want to pick it out, I would think that you couls drop the subframe and drop the engine and Trans out at the same time??? that might be easier if that can be done

Not only is it iron and heavy, it'* greasy.

Dropping the engine isn't the worrisome party. It'* an injury to those trying to do so.

Rent the cherry picker.

I don't think 4 people could pull one, even with the hood removed. You'd have to lift it VERY high to clear the oil pan.

the way i see it you have two options

option1- you and your brother should pull the engine out with just the two of you, then you can post the Xrays of your hook shaped spine and banged up engine compartment in the lounge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lookin fwd to those...

option2- use a dremel tool to cut the left front fender and subframe away from the car and just slide the motor right on out (note, save fender and subframe material, you will need them later)

option 2b- dig a hole big enough for a person and an engine, wheel car over the hole, and you get down in the pit ready to catch the engine, then your brother removes the torque axis mount and then you get ready to catch it, then just dig a ramp and whalla engine is out!!!!

hope this was all kinds of help
