i changed my spark plugs wires again and its still fough. i have them in the correct order now and i think the reason its missing is because of a small piece of the old plug is still in there. it broke off while it was in use and i dodnt even know how that happened. i am going to get a magnet

I had took kenn to his mom house 2 weeks ago and decided to make up some time. I had an exhaust leak and a bad catalytic convertor so the car was pretty loud sounding. Well en route up there the car was running o until i deciided to push it some. The car all of a sudden started running sluggish and missing. i ran like this for a week until i could get somemore spark plugs and wires to see what the problem was. So today i finally got the car fixed as far as changing the plugs and wires and the car is still running sluggish ans missing. (Note: I DID GET THE WHOLE EXHAUST FIXED!) So I looked at the last plug i took off and its really black at the thread and the metal tip that normally carry the electricty has broke off and the white part inside has broke off. Just a little bit. So i figued that its in the motor somewhere. Then i motice there is a lil more heat coming from the motor. Now, do i need to purchase a new or new to me motor? or, can this thing be fixed? or can i just get a mmagnet and try to fined the piece?

now is the best time to tow it to a dealer and pay someone to find out how to fix it.....try the magnet route if you wish but I belive a GM certified tech will know what to do (at least the guys at my dealer do)
