Does anybody know how much a waterpump for a 1993 Bonnevillie SSei, might cost? And are they is easy to put on?

24 to 40 american. Just remove the motor mount on that side... oh and the rear accessory bracket for one bolt that is covered by it. You could possibly just get a grinder in there and remove material off the bracket first. That would make it a lot easier.

$25-35 USD. And it is a challenge if you have not done a FWD waterpump before.

No, it'* not a terribly difficult job, but it'll take several hours, and as others noted, the engine mount has to be removed and there'* 1 bolt hidden by the accessory bracket. I think dealers in my area charge more than $400 for that job and quote the labor rate at 5 or 6 hours, and that'* about how long it took me to replace mine, with a few delays mixed-in.

I just replaced my pump last night.

2 choices from Autozone:
a) Reman with 1year warranty $21.59
b) New with lifetime warranty $26.49

Little easier on the older NA cars. I had to remove the motor mount, but didnt have to remove any other brackets.

Draining the coolant was the only tricky part. I got creative and pumped the coolant out of the radiator with a little drill pump through the upper radiador hose opening. Couldn't go thru from the radiator cap due to the trans cooler. This allowed me to do the job without jacking up the car at all - no need to hassle with the radiator drain plug.

It is WAY easier to loosen the 4 little pulley bolts with the serpentine belt still on.

i need a water pump BAD and i'm just going to have to take it to a shop, as i have no way to do all it while i'm away at college.... I've had that PS/ALT/Bracket assembly off before to do the */C snout, so I know the ***-pain level is high in this job. *off to take one for the team...*

So, are you in school in Minneapolis or elsewhere? If you're in the Metro area, I've got a heated garage ( becoming necessary lately) and required tools (done this on wifey'* car). Lemme know if I can help.
