Brake question
I have a 93 SSEi, and had the brake warning light on the dash come on. I stopped and topped up my brake fluid but the light remained on, about 100 yards down the road I got a rapid chime with the light. I stopped and disconnected a small plug, 3 wires, on the side of the master cylinder and the chime and light quit. I still have the light when I use the parking brake, and the operation seems normal for the rest of the system. What I want to know is , 1 what is the quick chime for, 2 what is the plug for, and how do I fix the situation. Thanks, andy info is appreciated. Wes Carroll

Brake trouble
The light as said before is for you to check your guages and the wire harness or switch is for the level in your brake cylinder. Normally this would indicate either your brakes need to be changed or you need a new sensor for the fluid level.

Refilling the fluid didn't take care of the chime or the light. If it is brake service I need, I have checked my pads and shoes, and they are fine, a little worn but still a good 3/8th of an inch on the pads an over that on the shoes. no leaks I can find and the pedal is rock solid..Bad sensor?
