Oil Pressure
I changed the oil in my car about 1000 miles ago with 10W30 Valvoline. I put a FRAM filter on it when I replaced the oil (You can flog me for this later.....) I checked the oil this morning and it is full.
The oil pressure at idle has been acting funny lately. Sometimes it will read at or slightly above 100 PSI (It did it 3 times on a 5 mile trip yesterday). Before changing the oil, it was usually around 40 PSI at idle, and occasionally now it will get back down to 40 PSI at idle. When the car is going down the street, it is always at 50-70PSI (And usually it is right at 60).
Is this normal? I'm a little concerned about how high the pressure has been getting.

Two things. Fram is absolutely the worst filter you can use. Check www.bobistheoilguy.com for details.
High variable intermittent pressure is usually a faulty oil pressure sender. You can change it easily by removing the RF wheel and wheelwell plastic liner/skirt. You'll see it on the back side of the block above the oil filter adapter plate.

Thanks. The oil pressure is pretty constant when I'm going down the street. I'll go ahead and work on replacing the oil pressure sending unit, and while I'm at it, I'll get the FRAM filter off of it.
