The heater box is right under the left side of the relay rail. Just curious cause in techinfo it says move the relay rail out of the way. I have to remove evrything inside it to get to the back bolt, correct? BTW- i'm cleaning the evap.

No, just lift the maxifuse center up and out of the way after it'* loose. You'll see the resistor pack below it.

I got the rail off now and the pack loose. It won't come all the way out. I have to take it out at an angle cause the damn fuel lines are in the way. Should I remove the resistor then take the rest out?

It ain't coming out. I will have to dremel the opening larger.

Remove it. I'm following the techinfo on "Cleaning the HVAC EVAP core". It says to spray the con- chlor brake fluid in the heater box and on the evap core which my guess is the grid on the left side in the box. I was able to remove the restor w/ out the use of a dremel. I can now see clearly in the box and a very dirty grid inside it.

Just be careful on the amount of rinse water you hit it with. Keep the volume LOW, or you'll have an overflow into your front passenger footwell.

Yea, I just moved the fuel lines over with my left hand and pulled up the resitor with my right. My fear was the fuel lines being brittle but they still had good flex.

Let us know how deep the water in the RF carpet gets, and how much the airflow improves.

Is this something where putting a large piece of plastic on the floor and up under the edge of the heater unit inside the car would help catch water from an overflow? I've never done it but several people here have cleaned the evaporator and I may check mine some cold day when I have some time this winter.
