i dont know personally any aftermarket solution, i just know its a pain get little parts like that. i can tell you not all dealerships are equal. i was looking for a evap part for my 98 and went to a couple dealers that said they couldnt get it then i went to one that let me on there computer and i found it but i had to order a different connected part to get the whole thing. i think they do that to make haveing the part made worth the effort/profit for gm.

Rockauto shows the hoses as available, but not a normal stocked item. Seems like it's possible to pick them up.

Maybe I misread. Are you looking for the pipe that screws into the LIM? If so, you can usually find those in the water/heater section of any parts store. You need to match up the threads and it'll work great.

chevelle_6969 03-21-2011 10:06 AM

no not threaded pipe connectors these are the two long steel lines than come out of the lim and the water pump housing, the have a rubber o ring on one end and connect directy to the heater hose itself, they are probly 8 or 9 inches in length

BillBoost37 03-21-2011 10:16 AM

Ohhhhh those !.. Yeah, uh that's going to be a tough one if the metal is bad. If you need to just do the rings, I would use a Harbor Frieght o-ring kit... but man the tubes themselves are going to be tough.

chevelle_6969 03-21-2011 10:35 AM

yes tough, they bolt on to the head using a stud with a nut, so when u remove the its almost impossible not to bend them being in there 15 plus years doesnt seem to help either...thanks for your reply
