Heat/AC Blower Motor Speed
 

1995 SSEi 3800 Supercharged
Have a bit of a problem. Can turn down the fan speed via the control, the meter levels go up and down, put the fan speed stays on high.
One speed - high -- and that's it.
Not sure whether it's the motor or the controller at this point.

Anyone have an idea?

Probably something that would be better answered in the 92-99 section, rather than the 2000-2005. ;-). You could have a bad blower control module.

So is the blower control module part of the environment control (in the dash) or is it a seperate control box somehere?

These years are not exactly my strong point, but if I remember correctly, it is in the engine compartment, against the firewall, on top of the ductwork. Look for a rectangular(?) cover with wires going to it on the passenger side.

correct, under the maxi fuse center in the engine compartment.

The main controlling point for the blower motor is the BCM or blower control module. It is located under the maxifuse relay center on top of the HVAC box on the firewall.

I don't have the diagnostics with me..however that's typically the part that fails.

Problem is...there's no good way to test it. Getting to it is fun as well. You need to remove the maxifuse center from the firewall (2 10mm nuts).

Well, first things first, will check for disconnected wires.
So, it's a small control box behind the max-fuse panel?
