Fuel sender unit ...Plastic or Metal ?
I understand that Pontiac went from steel fuel sending units that would eventually rot and leak, to plastic ones. My 1992 Bonny most definitely had a steel one that indeed had to be replaced a few years ago. Does anyone know what type my 1996 Bonneville should have, or is this one of those cases where it could have either ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The sending units are all steel through 97 and more than likely beyond that. The fuel lines were all nylon from sender connections to fuel rail in 92 & 93 but changed to a combination steel/nylon in 94+
