Default Theater Dimming?

What makes the 96-04 bonnevilles and most of all other GM cars of this period do the theater dimming? is there a module located inside of the car?

The RIM (Rear Integration Module) controls Theater Dimming feature of Interior Lighting in the 2000+ Bonnevilles.
The 96-99 may be called RIM or BCM (Body Control Module) not sure.

Boss, I'm not sure if it would be practical to retro fit this into a 95 SE. I'm not all that certain, do you have Keyless Illuminated Entry? The complexities, time & money may not be worth the effort. Maybe a one of the regular 92-99 Gearheads could better answer your question.
