MAJOR HELP NEEDED!
Hey everyone i need some major help ....i noticed this happened the other day...then i didnt drive my car for a couple days then i drove it and it didnt do it for 2 days...any time the boost gets over -5 on the boost guage it like gains power then loses power....gains power...loses power...the rpm needle goes up and down but as hard as i push the gas i havent gotten it to die...im wondering what it could be...i got a 92 ssei...personally from what it is doing my first thought would be mass air flow sensor....but im not sure....i dont know a hole lot....can anyone help?

It almost sounds like a leak under the SC. If the compressed air is leaking out before it gets to the cylinders it will do some funky things. I had a similar problem about 3 years ago. It generally happened more at highway speeds. When I hit the gas it would start to stumble or vibrate. This is only one option. Maybe someone else can add to it or have another idea?

heres a new development which i think i have but not quite sure a solution....i took my car out tonight at 930....for a little drive to see if it still did it...guess what...it wasn't doing it....now my question to you guys is would it do that if it ran at like 220 degrees...even though the red line isnt til like 240?
if you knwo hte area in Minnesota
before i noticed it i did drive from monticello to buffalo (approx 12 miles) then from buffalo to maple grove (backroads approx 35-40 miles..) then stopped for 5 min...then from maple grove on highway 94 to monticello in rushhour traffic (approx 30 miles) but i noticed it getting on the highway like it didnt have everything there.... so i am still trying to figure out waht it is....could it be the mass air flow sensor just maul functions at high temps for a long period of time...or fuel filter...or thermostat...should i get a 180 degree...i got like a 205 or something in there now from napa....any suggestions anyone?

If yours is showing a higher reading than usual even though the engine performance is bad, it might be telling you that your exhaust is basically blocked by a bad convertor.
