Harmonic balancer install??

Just found that my crank sensor on my 1993 SE was bad causing intermittent stalling issues. Got the harmonic balancer off and getting ready to replace the crank sensor . When I put the balancer back on how should I go about it? FSM says buy a new bolt and torque it to 110 ft pds then crank it 76 degrees more. The used bolt has already been stretched once so how would I reinstall it?

Hate to admit it, but I have removed them with an impact gun, and put them back on with one...same bolt.....just lucky I guess...

I've done them just like ^^^^^^GUS^^^^^^ did! If they're tight, they'll stay on just fine.

Same here, we used to say the torque spec is fully seated not stripped and you should be good.

Me too. Let the impact fly!!!!

Thanks everyone! I don't have an impact. I will be using the big guns. Does 120 foot pounds sound about right?? I assume I should put a liitle motor oil on the crankshaft?? Maybe a little Loctite on the threads ??

Anti-seize on the bolt and the balancer itself. Makes it easier to remove the next time.

Thanks everyone!! I went ahead and torqued it to 140 ft pds. Took it for a test drive and all is well.
