My idle saga continues...
I think I figured out what was wrong, Someone with better knowledge than me confirm that this is right eh?
Anyway, The car would idle very roughly, Almost like a mild cam. I replaced plugs and wires, All new vacuum lines, LIM Gaskets, O2 Sensor and cleaned the LIM and UIM. Nothing seemed to help. So today I was checking my compression (I got 160'* on all) and I figured WTH I ought to just pull a valve cover and see if I can notice anything out of place. Popped off the rear one so it would serve a dual purpose and I could clean it. Three of my rockers were loose, Like I could move them side to side, up and down, the whole nine yards. I popped the exhaust rockers off so dad could use his little thingy to check my valve springs. My springs checked out okay against factory spec. Not like I really have that tight of a grip on that concept anyway... But when I put the rockers back I tightened them to factory spec and noticed they were very tight and I couldn't move them. I'm just going to guess that'* the way they should be. Now, When I started up the motor it idles almost perfectly now, Like it'* a serious improvement, You can't hear the car inside the house anymore, It'* really nice.
Now guys, I'm wondering if that was the problem and if I should retighten the ones I didn't tighten on the back bank and tighten them all on the front bank. What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance

I don't have the answer to your question, but I do have another one:
Did you hear any "chatter" from the rockers being loose? I'm very interested in the answers you get on this. Wierd stuff.

Just a very low pitched bump when the engine was winding down, And I could only hear it with a stethoscope. It seems to have decreased in both volume and frequency.

me: Re-torque ALL rockers. Front and rear.
me: Loosen, then re-torque, in 2 stages. specs in techinfo.
damemorder: specs in the book
damemorder: I was guessing I should do that, but are the bolt torque to yeild?
me: The rear is more likely to be loose, but check the front anyway.
damemorder: Should I clean the rockers whilt I have them out?
me: I don't think the rocker bolts are. If they say to torque a certain amount, then another certain number of degrees, they are.
me: No, don't bother cleaning them. No benefit.
me: Leave the glaze.
me: Rear is more likely to be loose from extreme temp cycling because of the firewall/rear exhaust.
me: You got that TTY, ?
me: Any time it calls for more angle after a certain torque, they're TTY.
me: How'* your valve cover seals?
damemorder: oh, okay, Good to know.

Dont forget lock-tite!! both factory and aftermarket rocker bolts come with lock-tite.
And you always check all the bolts if you find one loose, the rest are just as old.
