I definitely vote maf. its one of the more major sensors for a/f mix. usually it'll go pig rich when its malfunctioning and choke and stall. been there, done that.

replace that, and you should be fine..

also...are there any codes? any SES light on?

Default Grandmas car still won't run

OK changed the MAF and it was not the problem. The car will start sometimes and run for a minute. When it quits you do not hear the fuel pump anymore, wait about 5 minutes and you hear the fuel pump and it will start only for a few seconds. HELP

Here is some cheap or free stuff to take care of before you spend any more money: Make sure you have fuel. Inspect the battery cables for corrosion - peel back the covers on the ends of the cables, especially the positive cable at the battery. Check and clean if needed the ground buses under the carpet edge near the front of the front doors. Check and clean the grounds in the engine compartment under the ICM (coil packs), the body ground on the passenger fender by the battery, the PCM ground on the oil adapter. Also check he positive connection to the firewall relay center, and the connections to the alternator.

I'm with Bill & just want add a couple things. Check the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator for any signs of gas. Check for spark at each of the three front cylinders. Let'* also pull the spark plugs & describe their condition. A picture of the plugs would be great.

I just noticed that the power seats and windows are not working either. Is it possible that all of these things are related ?

Probable, I'd say.

A gearhead can probably confirm or deny, but might those accessories and the fuel pump all be behind the same ground buss, or connected to the same power at some point?
