Default Missing vac lines and other problems

Tonight I got home from a business trip to find that my father was usin my car all week and he didnt lock it and let one of his friends do some "work" on it. I started up the car and the idle is rough, really bad acceleration, a couple of misfires, and a stall. I popped the hood to find the plastic engine cover is gone, the maf is unplugged and not screwed in all the way, and the vac lines are all screwed up. I have no idea what the hell this guy did but he sure as hell screwed things up. In the mornin Im gonna check all the fluids, belts, hoses. plugs, wires, EVERYTHING, and replace all the vac lines I can possibly get my hands on.

What Im lookin for is a pic of where all the lines are supposed to go cause right now there are 2 for sure that are missin and Im sure there are more that routed wrong. I searched through about 75 posts and found lots of info and some pics but none that are really focused on all the vac lines with pics and diagrams as there are tons of em.

Im also thinkin about replacin the vac modulator and the FPR depending on the outcome of my project tomorrow.

Any help yall can give me is GREATLY appreciated cause the bonnie is my only car and I need it back for work on Monday.

P.*. sorry bout the long post and my ranting but its been a hell of a bad day and things arent lookin any better at the moment.

And now back to the beer...

I have no idea what this dipshit was trying to do.

I you have no idea how pissed I am right now. Id be out there fixin the car right now if I had the lines and some light (its 330 AM right now). But my favorite saying is '**** happens"and this is a prime example.

All I know is that Im gonna be workin on my car tomorrow instead of replacing the tranny mounts on my dads 92 POS Topaz.

FORD SUCKS

BTW, beer really helps anger management. Cant tell you how much calmer I am now than I was a couple of hours ago.

Well Im gonna go to the junk yard in a few minutes and Im hopin there is a bonnie that is pretty much complete from the front end to I can map out the vac lines and where they go. The main two Im lookin for are the ones goin to/from the evap canister. One of them is gone and the other is patched with some clear plastic tubing in certain places. I wasnt even thinkin lastnight but I just assumed that the fsm would have the schematics for the vac lines. I know the haynes doesnt and I have no idea about the chiltons (do they even make one for our cars?)

I just talked to a friend a few seconds ago and he told me about this ac delco outlet about 20 minutes from here that has just about anything and everything you could want, so we are gonna go there first before the yards and if Im lucky ill be able to get the fsm for my car along with a couple of other goodies.

If they infact do have the fsm but only have it for the sse or ssei, could I get that and use it on my se or is the engine difference too big?

Thanks,

Sam

Sam,
I wasn't on all weekend. Did you get this taken care of? Do you still need assistance?

Yes sir Lash I did.

I just followed all the lines and used a friends 93 buick for reference. There were several that were connected to the wrong places and one was patched up in places with this clear tubing like they use for the IV drip lines in hospitals. It took a bit of time to figure some of it out as I dont have any kind of manual or anything. The only things left to work on right now is the TPS (adjusting it with the techinfo) and the torque converter which will be delt with when I have a good chunck of money to rebuild the tranny. 4th gear is kinda messed up right now. It shifts into 4th and will stay for a little while and then the rpms will drop down to just under the 2K mark. If I let up on the gas from there, it will work fine for another few seconds (sometimes minutes) then it will drop back down. Im not really too worried about it though cause I dont put that many miles on it anyways. Most of the time I ride my bike to work. I only need the bonnie when Im actually takin stuff I worked on at home or if Im gonna go somewhere during the day.

Basicly you can say this is a project car that Im usin to learn about cars for when I can actually get something that I really want (71 GTO Judge....yeah Ill keep dreaming).

Thanks though Lash. Ill probably be on here this weekend (Sunday) if I cant figure out the techinfo procedure for the TPS adjusting.
