yup i went through another tranny tonight blew another hole in the diff cover by just driving normal

lol well the one i put in had a 60 day warrenty and i bought it march 1 2005 and its may 8th so maybe they will warrenty it? dunno or else the car is going to sit till i have enough $ to buy a brand new one

I'm betting he was driving nicely. Quite seriously.

jr's3800 and I had an offline conversation about this an hour ago. Our bet is the suspension mods killed it. Extreme drive angles the car was not designed for.

The analogy that best describes it:

Universal socket on your ratchet. Extreme angle. Ever experience how it binds, then turns? Now imagine your tire is the socket, and the trans is the ratchet. Bind......release......BIND. Something has to give.

I wouldn't drive your car too far off the normal ride height after you get your new trans installed.

Oh, that'* right. He did the kit. Wouldn't that usually break a CV joint first? Like on the atv'* I drive. If you increase your height for larger tires the added stress to the cv'* usually ends up breaking them.

thats what i thought to but bill does have a point who knows how true that theroy could be but is definetly possible

Bill I'd assume in theory that either too high or too low should apply about equal in this situation, agreed?

I would almost agree with you there, But you could just about set the body on the tires and still shouldn't have a real problem... These cars were designed to have a certain amount of suspension travel, thus the CV joint pivots and move in all directions as well as rotates... Constant Velosity(spelling...LMAO)... The tripod is a bit of a diffrent story, its meant to move slightly, but not in extremes like this suspension would require...



Joe when you do manage to get that trans out show us what was damaged and how bad...
