Default Coil Pack Compatibility

One of my coil packs is testing funky and I've been noticing a slightly rough idle on the 95 SSEi.

I'm waiting on the fallout from the coil pack thread to make a decision on "permenant" solution, but I happen to have a set of 94 SE coils from my last car. Is it safe for the 95 SSEi to use them as a stop gap, or are they not compatible?

Default coils

I understand them to be the same.
You could allways look up the part number for both cars on the ACDelco site to verify.

One coil type covers all these:
92.5-94 L27
92-96 L67
95-current L36

The OTHER coil is 97+ L67.

So yes, that 94SE coil is identical to your 95 L67.

Great. I'll switch them out tonight while I wait for you guys to finish debating over the MSD coils

My MSD coils are now measuring fine both hot and cold after more than 2 years in the Zilla. Might have been a meter glitch. It had been in my cold damp trunk for 2 weeks.

does anyone know the difference between the series 2 L67 and L36 coils? I always thought they were all the same

the 97+ SII L67 coils produce a hotter spark than the SII L36
