Hey Jeff (or anybody else with electronic knowledge)! The manual also says to use "J-33431 I/P Tester" (Which I don't own) to test the Tach signal. It says to disconnect the connector to the Computer Controlled Coil Ignition (CCCI) Module and use the black lead of the J-33431-10 harness adapter to ground and use the red lead to the CCCI at terminal "E" (WHT). You then set the tester to "54 MPH", "60 MHZ" & turn power switch on. Turn the ignition switch to "RUN" & if Tach shows 1350 RPM, replace the CCCI Module or if the Tach doesn't operate, check WHT (121) wire for a open or short to ground. If OK, check that all I/P Cluster connections are clean & tight. If OK, replace I/P Cluster. Since I don't own this "J-Tool" I thought I would just see if there is a signal going to the Cluster instead! :? I found the Tach signal pin location! It'* "B15" WHT (121)! Will this idea of mine work? :?: Have you ever torn apart your Cluster yet? I have, to fix the odemeter setting. The reason behind all this is that the Tach cuts out from time to time for no reason & the RH Turn Signal Indicator in the Cluster only doesn't work (but it does "click")!

The tach input line and RH turn signal line are very close on the connector. Perhaps something rubbed through both of the lines, such that they intermittently short out?

The IP tester appears to be nothing more than a signal generator, which is good if you have a signal generator and/or oscilloscope handy, but not much help if you don't.

Are you asking whether or not you can run a different line for the tach?

A guy at work thinks he has solved my Tach Problem! You see I recently had a remote car starter installed back in March. he thinks these guy'* used a quick splice connector instead of soldering it in! You see for the remote starter to work , you have to splice into the WHT (121) Tach wire! If they damaged that wire my Tach signal would cut in & out! As soon as the car cools down I'm off to solder all the connections & replace my fuel filter while I'm at it since I've had problem starting it lately! :? The RH signal indicator light in the cluster hasn't worked for about 8 months now! As for your last question, no I'm just trying to fix this problem w/o rewiring!

Maybe the RH turn signal bulb burned out?

The RH bulb is fine! I've tried swapping it with the LH bulb! :? I think the circuit board is damaged. I couldn't find where they spliced into the Tach signal wire yet, unless they did it under the dash? I think I might try using a multimeter to test the signal at the cluster connector though. That way I can condem the cluster or not!
