Default Please help (hi rpm miss)

Heres the deal, I had a problem with the car missing at low rpms I fixed it. Now its the opposite it misses horribly at high rpms. I had the SES light come on for about five minutes. I turned the car off at an intersection and started it right away and it was gone. It would cost like 100 bux to have it scanned plus what ever in parts to fix it and I can't really afford that right now, I just spent my extra cash on tires. I should have known, everytime I fix one thing another thing goes wrong.
Can you guys give any tips on trouble shooting this.

A high RPM miss could be anything from a bad coil to a weak alternator, or a combination of factors. Go to where you can get a free scan. Call around. You'll find one.

Really someone would scan it for free? What kind of place would do that, a part store?

Yup. They want you to buy the part they identify as being bad. I know of a half-dozen parts stores and shops here in a town of less than 50K that will do it for free.

What was the cause of your low RPM miss? I'm waiting to get my car to the shop for a CEL code scan too.

I'm thinking it was the spark plugs. I also changed the O2 sensor, removed the throttle body and cleaned it together. Thats when the low rpm miss went away.

In this town of 200000 people not one parts store will scan a car, I called every one. I can get it done for $68 though.

Yes, you need a scan. You could try and cross the border and go to an Autozone in Detroit. I would call them first.
