vacuum line broke/ at work-hlp
95 Bonni SE series II 3.8 NA
I just found a broken off vacuum line and need to know what it is. I'm at work now and can't fix but wondering if I should plug it off. I can see that the prievious owner had glued it back on but has broken again. I do have some accel and milage troubles lately.
Just to the driverside of the maxifuse relay center (right below the windshield) is another black box bolted up. The bottom side of that box takes a vacuum line in from the main vacuum line, and another line comes out above it and goes into the firewall just under the center of the maxifuse center.
That line coming out and going into the firewall is broken off of that black box. Could ya'll tell me what it is? Should I tape it off to keep vacuum until I can fix it?
It is broken off flush on the black box. Looks to be hard to re-glue, may need a new/used black box.
Thanks, Lee

Do you guys know what that black box is? The thing is broke off flush on the box so there'* no connection for a hose. The pen cap is a great idea...usually...but I have to tape over this one. Probably easiest for me to get another black box from the J/Y if I can get one cheap.
Thanks again guys! This car and motor are in such good shape...it'* a shame so many little things are popping up. I'm not feeling those 205 hp'* yet and I've had it 6 months now. I gotta get the 02 and fuel filter done but the little things keep strapping me.
Had my cradle bolts go just two weeks ago. Double tow and $648 total. Motor dropped in the second busiest intersection in my city...at 5PM!!!
Trying to build rooms in my basement isn't helping the car funding.

If the plastic prong is there maybe you can glue it back in with polyurethane glue (PL premium in a caulking tube available at your nearest Lowes for $3.8 or epoxy. Or can you glue something else on there to attach the vacuum hose to?

Yeah the connector is broke off inside the hose. Trouble is that the prievious owner had glued it before me. Not sure how well it will glue. But I'll figure it out. Thanks.

If you need one..and don't want to glue.. holler in the wanted section. I know we have a few people parting cars and that is usually an easy part.
