Idle overheating
I've noticed that now that it'* gotten warmen (70'* F) that the car runs unnormally high if it idles for a couple minutes. I'm not sure what the temp actually is, but it runs at about the 3/4 mark, getting too close to the red zone for comfort.
I've read a couple people'* posts, and it seems that these engines run pretty warm. My question: are there any steps you can take to significanly reduce that temp, like removing the pretty engine cover and so forth?
Thanks!

I have a '95 SSEi also and I also have a 180 t-stat and have replaced my radiator with int the last year (meaning all new coolant). I frequently get up to the 220 range when idleing on a warm day. About the only additional step you can take (which I should do also) is o get a fan override switch to turn on the high speed and low speed cooling fans on warmer days. This is roughly the same thing accomplished by running the AC but it doesn't freeze you out of your car.

It makes sense that the engine should run the fan on high when it get warm. The fan doesn't consume that much power, and it makes a helluva difference. Maybe I'll look into getting one of those override deals from zzp.
Thanks for the input
