Default Fuel Injectors are making a cracking noise! (93 SSE)

I'm still messing around on this thing and when I now turn the key you can hear a cracking vibrating noise so I traced it and it sounds like it'* coming from the injectors and the lines that run to the injectors. I talked to my friend and he said since it'* doing that it'* more than likely my ignition module. The only thing is I had it tested the other day and it read fine. What else can the vibrating from the injectors mean?

Try turning the engine over in the dark and look for sparks - could be sparks making that sound.

So BOOYA! haha

I guess it all depends on the specifics of the noise. Generally injector noise is described as more of a "tick" sound while a spark could make more of a "crackling" noise. If you're accurate in your description I'd agree with fuddy.

Best bet would probably be to stay cheap and do like fuddy said, late at night with no other lights around try and start the car and have a buddy carefully look for sparks. Follow each plug wire and watch, but don't touch.

You could always use a timing light too (like I mentioned in another thread)!!!

Is it ticking or crackling?

The sound is mainly coming from the fuel line running to the injectors.
