It'* easy. Disconnect the wiring harness to it, unsrew the old, screw in the new, and reconnect harness.
Now for getting it out... Save yourself the time and agony and jst go spend a few dollars on a O2 socket. They have the cut out on the side to get the harness out of the way while installing. I tried it first with a wrench from every angle I could get et but with no luck. The socket was a piece of cake.
Hope that helps some...

The socket will run you about $15 usd give or take a few so if you are tight on cash like me just take it back when you get done. I know it sounds pathetic but the guy at the parts store told me to and its not like it will get much use anyhow.

I used a regular wrench. It was a PITA to reach my big a$$ hands down there, but I was able to get it out. You may have to let the car warm for about a minute so it will untighten easier. I had to do that. I was struggling with it till I finally remembered to warm it up a bit. Came out no prob. after that.

Look behind the engine. You'll see the rear exhaust manifold and a cylinder thing screwed on the top of it that has the black wire harness coming out of it. That'* the O2.

Did you get the O2 from a dealer or gmpartsdirect.com?
Glad you got it in. I loved my better mileage once I did mine. Except it takes a couple tanks for the new O2 to get "adjusted."
