Default Need Input!

I've been considering looking for a program to run on a lap top that will hook into my Bonneville'* ECM/PCM/BCM. This is what I found so far: HP makes the TECH 2'* for GM along with all the cables. What I want is a program that will run like the TECH 2'* but will not need a TECH 2! Drag Racers & NASCAR use a simular program but it uses a "BRICK" which sends a "HandShake" to the ECM/PCM/BCM to release the codes to the "Brick". The "Brick" then inturn hooks upto a laptop and downloads this info. The operator can then upload the new info to the "Brick" & then attach the "Brick" to the car'* terminal connecter & reprogram the ECM/PCM/BCM. I want this program! Your job is to help me find it along with the equipment! Any takers? Any other input? All comments welcome!

Uhhh....Rat, do you know where I work? hp

I'll take the info you gave, and see what I can come up with. That technology doesn't originate from the facility I work at in Oregon (we're almost exclusively inkjet), but that doesn't mean I can't put the feelers out! If nothing else, we might be able to come up with the schematic or at least the pinout of the brick. With what you can give me about the PCM, and what I MIGHT be able to give you, we MIGHT be able to pull something off. What does that make the odds? 100 to 1 or better at least.

I'll start digging.......

I work again on Tuesday night. I'll run 'em then. I don't have my link to the HP Intranet at home any more......you're spoiled!

I'll let you know what I find out.
