Fuel Pump
I looked around the forums and use the search option, but I could not find a tutorial on how to change the fuel pump. Could someone please paste a link or the tutorial. The reason I want this tutorial is as follows:
I am a lazy person and I let my car run out of gas. I have heard you can burn up a fuel pump but I have not heard of anyone doing this. Anywho I was at a friends house when this happened and he gave me some gas that was in a can. Turns out it was either a mixture or bad gas. I put maybe a half gallonto a gallon of gas in the tank, car still doesnt start. I tried to syphon the gas out but i couldn't even get the tube wet with gas, so i poured some BOUGHT gas in and it still doesn't work. I tried to listen for the fuel pump with the key on the on position but I really didn't hear anything. I never can remember hearing anythihng before. I have a 1996 Bonniville SE with 110,000 miles on it. Original fuel pump, etc. Is there any other easy way too see if the pump still works?
