Front brake rotors 1992 Bonnaville SE
 I will be doing a badly needed brake job as the front left rotor (and maybe the right)seems to be warped. Will I automatically need to change caliper, bearings, race, spindle. Any advice based on your experience with this subject/project will be most welcome. Additionally the car is pulling to the right but this occurs all the time and is not made worse when brakeing. Could the wobble in front in be caused by the stock mag wheels being warped/out of round. I do notice the warped rotor when braking -particularly when stopping at slower speeds. Thanks for lots of feedback

You shouldn't need to replace anything else besides the rotor, if thats all that needs to be fixed.
When I overhauled my front brakes, everything needed to replaced, calipers, pads, lines and rotors. After I did this though, I still had a slight shudder while braking at low speeds. I don't know the cause, but it didn't bother me enough to investigate. |
Hes right , its not like the bearing are mounted in the rotor on the hub... the rotor is a seperate peice and can be removed after the caliper comes off... I suggest you use the really hard carbon brake pads with life time because they ware the rotor and rotors wear slower then pads so it saves you money in the long run... :?

After changing pads and rotors stil had same problem. Then I thought it must be a bent rim but I could not see the problem. Went to friend in tire business who found a split radial band in the tire from hitting the #&%@* potholes due to poor roads and even worse road base in Louisiana. Roads built on Mississippi River soil are difficult to maintain.
