Adding */C - 92-93????
I am getting a 92 or 93 L67. It has rebuilt heads, etc but a broken rod. Can I use the parts off of this motor on a similar year n/a motor(short block) to make it right? I know there are a lot of differences in Series 2 */c and n/a engines, but thought the series 1 motors were basically the same.

The motors are not supposed to be the same. The SC whether S1 or S2 are totally different everything I've read. I think you need a SC to get parts from.

No problem . . . . . . It can be done.
Just use a L27 long block and install all the L67 stuff. (making it sound easy) (LIM, M62, fuel rail/injectors, misc. brackets (map, etc.), dampener, pulley/alt. bracket, etc.)

It wouldn't be very expensive, you just need to know what you are doing and be able to work on your car. Your just going to have to be easy on the trans or buy a LSD.
On the PCM you are going to have start off with a stock L67 chip mapping and change:
- trans gearing
- heated 02
- wire in a MAP sensor.

Everything I've read says they're close enough to the same engine. If you had a broken L67 and L27 you could create one good L67 out of it, but it'* pretty complex to do simply for the supercharger.

I read this right the first time out, but thought I'd read the motors were very different. Is only the top end different? Motor wise that is, forgetting about the rest of the car and pcm.
