Exhaust question
Ok... need some questions answered about exhaust manifolds for 92-95 L67 cars and 92-94 L27 cars.
Are the manifolds the same for the L67? and the L27? And are either of the L27 and L67 interchangeable? What about the other L67 cars? Are Park Ave, LSS, Riviera, 98 cars the same as far as the manifolds? What about heads and LIM? What gains would porting/polishing these gain? |
Gotcha Jimmy. Here's what you need to know :-) There's cylinder head info in there too because of someone I'm working with. Note that the L36s have a second right manifold part number for cars that are required to have California ECS
Edit: Sorry bout the bad spacing. Only the L36s have an extra manifold part number, the end number is the cylinder head part. Part Numbers (GMPD): YEAR MODEL LEFT MANIFOLD RIGHT MANIFOLD R. Was actually going to send it in a spreadsheet form over to the admins. Part numbers for all the parts that can be ported. |
It's already posted in J Wikoff's post from two weeks ago.
We already have all that info ;) It's been known for some time that something is different with the 92 L67 manifolds. We don't know what. We DO know what's different about the 92 L27 mani's, though. |
I'm thinking it's something to do with the tweaking stages.
Like 96 L67 had one set, 97 was a different set and different transmission...then 98+ is pretty much all one part after the tweaking had been done. |

Incidently, I was wondering something else about the 92s: Early 92 L27s had a beige upper intake and cover, while the later ones have the black upper plus cover. I wonder if the different PN only affects the pre June 92s? |
