Default Need opinion on old warranty repairs

Hey guys,

I had the dealer print out the service history for the car when it was under warranty, and found some interesting stuff....

-- At approx 6k the upper intake was replaced. Sheez, thats awful early isn't it?

-- At 25k the "Expansion Orifice Tube" was replaced. I assume thias has to do with the EGR....but why replace a piece of metal??

What do you guys think? Am I safe from the dreaded problem? It has 117k now....

you didn't mention when the repairs were made.

We've seen intakes installed in 2000 or made then that are NOT upgraded.

If your 96 took till 01 or so to get to 6k, then maybe.

Nope nope, all those repairs were made in 96/97.....but you mentioned that there was an alternate fix for the upper intake problem by replacing the EGR tube??? I wasn't sure if that was done on mine by the description given above....

The whole manifold is replaced for the repair. The thing that'* fixed is the coolant passage that runs between the EGR hole, and the runners.
