I own a 1992 SSE with dark sapphire blue metallic paint loaded!!! O.K. the first problem is it just started leaking somewhere. The pass. side floor has standing water. The second problem is my Low Coolant light is on and the coolant is not low I have replaced the radiator cap to no avail. Also my remote trunk entry stopped working the car is getting the signal but the trunk is not popping. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Problem 1: look for wet carpet leaks, try to trace them up to where the water is coming from. Possibles include: side door weatherstrip & heater core case

Problem 2: Probably your "Low Coolant Sensor".

Problem 3: See if you can override the trunk release manually by applying voltage to it & energizing it. if so, then check wiring connections to the release mechanism. If not replace Release Assembly.

OK my front drivers side door wheather stripping keeps coming loose.
And on the Trunk release it will open correctly about 20% of the time

Do you have a sunroof? If the pillar drains are plugged, that could answer your water problem. I agree on the coolant sensor. Simply disconnecting it may turn the light off for a good troubleshooting step.

For your trunk, Is the 12V switching at the connector in the trunk lid? With the trunk open (no mechanical load) does it actuate? Knock on it with your fist while actuating it via the remote. Did that help? Mine jammed up once (last month) and that was all it needed.

Same problem happened to my parents' 2001 Grand Prix. They had a puddle on the passenger floor and a low coolant light.

Turns out, the puddle on the floor was the coolant! It somehow passed near the cabin, and leaked into the passenger compartment.

I would put money on it that the two problems are related (puddle & low coolant light).

Get it checked fast though. My parents had to have their GP towed because they didn't want to drive it with the coolant tank empty, which it was, by the time they discovered it.

FYI: The 'rents GP is a 3100 SFI engine...not sure if the Bonneville ever used that, but perhaps it'* a defect in that line? *shrug*

The Coolant is Full to the very top (I checked 5-6 times over the last month) and the temp never rises above normal. The puddle on the floor is not coolant but smell like dirty rainwater ( I live in washington). As far as the trunk goes I experimented with it and if when the trunk is closed you pull up hard while pressing the button it will release. Sorry I took so long to reply ( faulty internet :( )

The drain hole in the evap housing is probably plugged. After a heavy rain, follow the directions for evap core cleaning in Techinfo. Just to open the core. Look inside, and see if it'* holding water. If it does, and overfills, it will spill out mostly on the passenger side, and sometimes on the driver'* side. You may have to crawl under the car, find the drain hole, and unplug it. There might very well be alot of debris in there.

For your trunk, lubricate the shaft of the unlock solonoid with WD-40, and a light grease on the latch bar and jaws. You might have a slight misalignment in the latch assembly, as well. If the lube job doesn't work, try adjusting the latch assembly. 2 10mm bolts under the trunk lid carpet.

Replace your coolant level sensor.

My car has been is the Garage for the past 1-1.5 years and I needed to (use) the garage so my car went homeless for a month which is when the water prob happened.
Also my parents just bought a 1999 Pontiac Montana Top of the line with 25k on it. The Windows fog up very very bad when it sits outside and can take up to 15 minutes to clear any ideas?
