Alright I Get It
:( Hey guys itz me again i got a black 1993 pontiac bonneville ssei peanut butter interior and last week my transmission wouldn't shift into 3rd so i had a trans that was sitting in my garage from another 1993 bonneville and i had that put in-now that it is put in my serivce engine light goes on and off as i drive-my "traction off" light stays on and these ae things the car was not doin-not the engine has a miss or backfire to it as i accerlerate and i have to put the car in 2nd gear to go from a light does anyone know whats goin on??

I would think the transmission you put in was not from an SSEi and therefore the ECM is most likely having trouble because of it. Before that though you need to look over the engine bay very well and find anything that is unhooked or pinched.

I agree with bill, it looks as if it was a non-HD trans that was installed, different shift points etc...keep in mind these trans are electronic.

The trans that i had that came out out a regular sse is in the car now i still have the other one to the one that went bad

ok that is your problem.....the SSE trans is prolly a 3.06 gear ratio...the one that was in your ssei was a 2.93 trans....in addition the one that was in your SSEi was a HD version and the SSE one is not
