My first tank of gas hasnt been a very good one... im at 200 miles and only have a quarter of a tank left! Might just be cuz of my lead foot.

Im going to change the oil and pcv valve, spark plugs and wires, tranny fuild, and maybe a rice pipe and air filter.

Since the car only has 62,000 mi on it i didnt think the fuel filter, or the O2 sensors would need changing but what do yall think?

Another question which brand do yall recommend for the plugs and wires?

LOL I answered my own question about the fuel filter... I guess im getting one of those too.

But the O2 sensor??

Calculate your mileage when you fill the car up. My guess is it will be around 12-14.

I would say the O2 is lazy if it is not shot...therefore needing replacement.

I'd replace the o2, piece of mind

easy to do, o2 should be on the back manifold with 1-4 wires going to it kinda looks like a spark plug you 'll need a 7/8 o2 socket or wrench to remove it.

fuel filter is in line probly on the passenger side, you;ll know it when you see it. depressureize the system first.

Fuel filter is easy. Actually, we will use the letters. All you have to do is put a wrench or vice grips on A and B and loosen. Then for C...see the greyish piece? Just squeeze it and pull the grey part out of the fuel line. I tried pulling the grey part out of the filter, and you will see why that doesn't work if you open the box to the new filter before you start

EDIT: Forgot to mention the depressurization of the fuel lines My method: pull down the passengers side hush pannel. There is a fuse block in there and a fuse for the fuel pump. Pull it and try to crank the engine...it won't start. There is a small black **** on the fuel rail which you can loosen and it will bleed remaining pressure.

As for the O2, simple as well. Get the socket ($11). Disconnect the harness, unscrew the old and screw in the new. Reconnect the harness. Unplug the battery while you are doing it to reset the computer. There is a technique to getting at this thing (since it is kinda hard to get to. I'll post pics if you want.

Too late, I already did it

Lots of marvel oil and it really wasn't that bad. I started busting the rust off, and I went to put a wrench on it, and there were no "points" for the wrench to catch on. The rust had eaten them all away so the bolt was round. I grabbed it hard with vicegrips and it came off a lot easier than you probably think.

All the salt MI puts down on the roads is a B!T(|-| on the undersides of these cars. Hence why the chrome got taken off last week
