Driver Info Center Problems
Has anyone ever figured out a solution to the "on again off again" DIC issue. I have a 92 SSEi and my DIC will work for a few days and then suddenly go off and not return for a few days. Right now it is out. Making me crazy. Where is the module located for the DIC on a 92? Any help would be great.

I have the same issue. Not sure where the module is though. I think it is actually just a bad connection in the actual unit. I've cleaned all the grounds under the doors etc and nothing seemed to help.

So the ground strips or blocks are at each door? I haven't tried that yet. Have you ever had the Instrument panel off? I got mine partially off so I could feel the back of the DIC and wiggled it a bit - that got it working for a couple of weeks. But I am not sure how to get the Instrument Panel all the way off to see if I can figure out a way to tighten that connection. Any ideas on how that comes unplugged? Is there a speedo cable I have to deal with? THanks -

When I cleaned mine they werent bad like his in the pics though. Did you try cleaning all the connections to the battery and ground to the pcm etc?
I haven't tackled removing the instrument panel yet, I'll check later in the shop manual to see if I can post anything that would help you.
