Default Wireless transmitter

Well... it'* been an odd day.

After looking at some postings on ebay for a wireless transmitter for my '95 LSS, it looked like it was the same transmitter as the other 95 h'*, and I was about ready to buy one.

In a somewhat unrelated vein, I called up the dealer I bought my valve body through, because he wanted to find out if I planned on returning a core for my valve body or not. Anyway, when we were done chatting, I asked him to check out the P/N for my transmitter real quick, and he came up with:

25678792

Which is the newer style remote?!?!?, like what'* on my '96 LeSabre (and just about every other single GM product since then). Actually, that particular number, through a dealer, gets you a transmitter and two remotes, but the point is that it'* showing a new (er) style transmitter.

Anyone have any insight on this? Is he right, or did he just screw up my model year while putting it in the computer?

Okay, I just called up SPO to figure it out, and they gave me the number I expected... the same as the other H'* of the era (25602667).

which p/n?

the one listed in my first post is for the 96 n up style, with two remotes and receiver. The 95 is listed in my second post. It'll be Monday at the earliest before I can find a p/n on the receiver for the 95, if that'* what you're after... customer service for SPO takes the weekends off...

Don't have the P/N you're after yet, but thought I'd pass this along...

The 92-95 transmitters are still in stock with SPO, so not only can you order them for the crazy overpriced dealer price, but if you happened to know anyone who worked at GM who would liberally apply their purchasing ability, you could pick one up (brand new, in package) for a paltry 30 + 6% sales tax...

I checked GMPD and saw them for $32 + shipping
That'* about half what I paid for mine from KeylessRide.com

Wish I'd have known about this place back then...

Yeah, and they'll get you on the shipping.

I've actually become quite anti-GMPD since I tried buying my L26 mani - it took some 23 days after I placed the order before it even *shipped*. And their customer service was for crap... very snooty and didn't care at all that they were keeping me from getting work done on my car...
