Default Some may remember my GRRRRR noise problem (video).

I've posted for about over the last 2 years or so about this GRRRR noise ive been getting when accelerating hard from a stop. If i let off some the grrrr with go away. I fianlly got some video for you. Listen in the first video (the one where you can't see anything).. where i'm playing with the trottle.. you'll hear the grrr come about when i mash it. It'* comming from the right side of the car. Louder inside the car then out. It will not do it unless the car is in gear. Let me know if you got anymore questions about it. Hopefully the videos will lend some inside. The first video was taken from under the tape deck in that little hole... i got the best noise from there. thanks.

In the first video.... i am on the thottle the whole time, but when the noise is loud i'm at about 3/4 boost.. when it'* not loud just under 1/2.

I stay on the thottle hard till shift in 2nd. Listen for the change in the grrrrr when it shifts.

To be honest that sounds damn cool. I watched the 2nd one over and over and am envious really.

And if its been happening for 2 years with no other ill effects...are we sure its a problem?

I guess I couldn't hear anything either in the vid. Maybe the vid isn't capturing it first hand as you hear it in the car for some reason.

It sounds just like my car when I mash it

Yeah... i thought it would be hard to hear. I don't have an exaust or an intake.... just stock... I'll try to make another run this week so you can hear it better, if you ride in the car you can notice.. most people comment on it who ride in the car.... i'll see if i can do better....... Glad you enjoyed it though.

And it has gotten progressivly worse... it'll do it some in 2nd now.. it never did that a couple of years ago.. won't do it in reverse when i mash it either.

I can't pick out the sound in your video, but I used to have a grrr noise in first gear. When my engine cradle was bent so the driver side of the engine was about 1.5" higher than the other side. Don't ask... Insurance covered it.

Try listening to the first video. Listen to when i get in and out of the throttle..... When the "engine noise stops" in the middle of the video... i am just under 1/2 thottle, and still in first.... when it'* loud. i'm at 3/4 throttle.... not much diffrence. It sounds like i hit the gas, get completely off the gas, and back on it agian... i'm really just rolling out of the throttle a bit.
