Drive Belt Failure.....
 

What's up family, a few week ago I had to purchase an altenator for my Bonnie. Didn't think about replacing the drive belt installed the altenator test drove my car and put in for the night. The next day on my way to church my son and I heard a rapping sound coming for the right front fender. Pulled over to investigate and as you would know, the drive belt shredded. Made it home went to the auto store brought a new belt and everything is back to normal. Well that's what I thought, Monday came and off to work my job is about 26 miles one way from home and on this praticular day in New Jersey, it was hot as Heck!!!!

Well you wouldn't believe my car powered down just coming off the GS parkway. Since this was the first of the 90+ degree days and it being only 5:30 pm the sun was still up and HOT!!!. So I called my AAA for a tow and waited for at least 4 hours (that's another story in itself). To keep a long story short I thought what was I ignition control module, no spark or tach signal did all the diagnostic test and 20+ on the job I thought I knew alittle something, however it came to be the crank sensor failure.

You see what had happen is the belt shredding the previous day rap itself around the balancer and the interrupter ring which had damage the cranksensor, I still don't know how I made to work and almost home that day. Well this is basically a lesson is not to cut corners or go cheap.

The plus side of it all I had lost 8 pounds waiting for my tow service.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune with the belt shredding, then the collateral damage (CKP sensor) gets you the following day. You've met your quota for a long time I hope.
