oil change
i got my oil changed at the dealership here in town and on the little paper, for when you are supposed to get your oil changed next they have it marked only 2000 miles later, i thought oil changes where good for 3000? should i ignore it and change after 3000, or not?

IMO....2K IS ACCEPTABLE...REMEMBER...oil IS the blood of your engine...Clogged arteries are bad for both you and your ride!!!!
I change mine EVERY 2k-3k....always...And now currently using K&N oil filters...

Depends on how you drive your car too. I do almost all highway miles, about 700 miles a week. So I use an AC Delco PF47 filter, Mobil 1 Synthetic oil, and I do a oil change with new filter every 5000 miles.
The oil is usually pretty good when it comes out.

2,000 is almost too soon. I shoot for 3,000 but sometimes go to 4,000. This is still a lot more regular than most people actually do.
I use the AC filter and a good brand of oil, usually castrol.
I also fill the filter with oil before installing it, otherwise the car runs for a couple of seconds with no pressure.
