Do you guys think I need The E-stat module to lower temp?
Please, Could somebody explain how the thermostat is drilled? I understand with drill, but in what position into thermostat? Do you kinda drill into or straight through length of its central core, through where the temperature is indicated?
Anybody knows the dealer for The E-stat module in Canada? Email, website etc? As I have changed old thermostat of 196F to 185F or so. The temperature is lower then the gauge norm when driving on higher speeds on hot days, but when stuck in traffick it gets even more hotter then the norm. Do not want to fry my new intake manifold. Do you guys think I need The E-stat module, or is there another solution? Thanks |
Do a search for "drilled" by author willwren. Four small holes, or less, along the rim.

You should look at a reprogrammed PCM with lower fan turn on points or install a fan switch over ride so the fans stay on all the time.
The E-stat is only really required if you want to run with a 160* stat and you don't want the computer to stay in warm up rich mode or throw an SES light. |

I strongly recommend the 180 drilled thermostat and fan override. However, in colder climates, that drilled 180 may need to be taken out for winter.
