Default Into the body shop we go....

Those who know me from Bonneville Intensity (redrocket70) already know the story, but for the rest of you:

Last week a large maintenance truck had its right turn signal to turn onto the road I was stopped at. I was waiting at a stop sign, looked left and saw the white truck with its signal on and slowing down a great deal, then I looked right and saw it was clear. Right went I start to go to turn left...*BAM*....our corners hit. He decided at the last minute that was the wrong road to get home and kept on going. What I STILL can't understand is why did he slow down to allow a lady in front of me to turn left but decides to hit me?

Whatever, I gotta get over it. Thankfully no tickets were issued, but who knows how the insurance companies will handle it. Anyway, this coming Monday next week my precious '94 Red SSE will be going into the body shop to receive all brand new parts with the exception of the left light assembly, which will be used. If its in bad shape the body shop owner will send it back for a decent one.

I will get a new hood protector and GTS blackouts as well.

Just a quick tip: Drive VERY defensivly, even in the most peculiar situations.

I got into my Bonneville, cuz my Buick Roadmaster got totalled. I drive with PARANOIA now. I figure with the Bon, nobody can ever rear-end me again.......cuz they're not gonna catch me :P

Hate to see another Bonneville in the shop, but since it'* going in, you should understand the rules of the Forum:

1. Keep us posted on the progress of the repairs.
2. Stay active on the Forum.
3. Notify us when the car is ready and BEFORE you pick it up.

Violation of any of these rules will subject you to the loss of 3 stars. Even if that puts you in a deficit situation.

Ok, just kidding. Trying to lighten your load a little. Good luck with the car AND the insurance.

Allmachtige, I really like that look with the combination of black-outs and the 1/2 bra. I might give that a try. What brand bra is that? I wouldn't mind going with that one.

You can make the 92-95 head light covers work on the 96-99 models with some cutting and bending.
