Default A DING DING NOISE

MY 1993 BONNE KEEPS MAKING THIS DINGING NOISE EACH TIME I TURN THE IGNITION ON AND THEN STILL AFTER WHAT COULD IT BE ??

Any lights on the dash? Interior lights on? Does it sound like the warning you get when the keys are in the ignition and you have the door open?

YES EXACTLY THE SAME SOUND AS IF THE DOOR IS OPEN BUT THEY ARE NO LIGHTS ON

YES ITS THE SAME NOISE AS IF THE KEYS ARE IN THE IGNITION BUT IT STOPS THEN RETURNS

You must have a Lamp Indicator system...on your dash is a schematic of your car...look for the yellow light bar, showing which lights (bulbs) out out...

If you could do us all one small favour here first! DON'T SHOUT! Please use lower case for conversations! Typing in upper case is considered SHOUTING BTW!

Now as to your problem....Does the chime go out after a short time? If it does then it'* the "security system" & this normal operation!

If it still Chimes then it could some other component out. Look to see if the "Check Gauges" light is on too! This can chime due to low fuel & low oil pressure too.

my mom'* '88 cutless sierra does the exact same thing--it dings for several seconds after you start the car, and for several seconds when you shut it off. its done this since we bought it a few years ago. don't know if there'* any similar electrical problem between the two or not.
