1992 SE Returns to life but runs like crap
I posted a bulletin earlier about my SE not starting. I replaced the crank shaft positioning sensor and the car started right UP! (VERY GOOD) But it'* running in limp mode and is running VERY rough. Is there anything I'm missing? I let it run for a while and no error codes were generated, it seems like the timing is off. Is there anything I can do to smooth this out. I'm lost! After installing that crank sensor I'd like to strangle the engineer who designed that mess.
The car ran fine before the no start condition. Now it idles very rough, like the timing is off or if it'* running without a plug wire. I'm going to start swapping parts again and see what happens. Maybe I blew out a coil pack or PCM during the day I tried cranking it over multiple times. I'm going to pull the plugs and clean them, they might be fouled because of the continuous cranking.
Any suggestions I'd appreciate your help
Thank you
Mike

Did you have any other issues besides the non-start that you worked on as well?
I'm just looking to gather as much info as possible so when the others see your post they can give you the best help.

Start with the simplest solution. Are all the plug wires going to the correct plugs? I crossed a couple of mine once. She ran, but she weren't happy about it

Or even are they in tight, or good at all. They might have busted ground trods. If your crank sensor caused a bad misfire, that could wreck plugs. (personal experience)
