Default Interior Swap 92SSEi --> 96SSEi?

Hey everybody,

I have a 1996 SSEi whose interior was pretty well thrashed by the original owner. Tan leather seats were worn through, door panels, and just about everything else beat up.

The question comes in if i were to pick up a 92SSEi, whose owner took care of her, would everything be interchangable with little or no difficulty?(Using little or no difficulty very freely)

Both are tan leather so I am very hopeful could someone offer me some insight into this as I am unable to compare the vehicles side by side.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

you interior color is slightly different shade of tan, but there are minor differences.....like how the door panels attach to the door... but you should be able to do it no problem

Well replacing the driver and passanger seats are the primary concern, then in descending order door panels, dash, and maybe the rear seats(for the most part there ok)

Not overly worried about the colors being off too much as compared to the condition this guy left it in i'm ready to throw the grey leather ones from the local junk into the car just to be comfortable.

So the door panels attach differently between these two years? not suprised would the necessary jury rigging be difficult in your opinion and how do the two styles compare?
Until I get the pics of this cars interior i'm flying blind on this one

another question would be interchanging the hoods? I imagine this is no problem.

Jr's3800 did a door panel swap. As I remember the major difference was that 92-95 has two bolts behind the light on the door and 96-99 has one. Otherwise I believe it all lined up pretty well.

The color difference looks pretty good in my car. Darker tan carpet, dash and console (93), lighter tan seats and floor mats (97). Good contrast. I also intend on swaping the door seals more for leak protection rather than color coordination.

Try to keep the 96+ door panels. i think you'll be happier with them.

That'* interesting, while the 96+ door panels seem structurally better. The cupholding ability is decreased greatly.
