Question Interchangability

How interchangable are parts from a 97 and 99?
The rear bar or bumper on my 97 is rotting away from winter weather and I can get a 99 for free and just wanted to make sure it is the same.

As long as they are both SE'* or both SSE/SSEi/SLE they are interchangeable. And actually when it comes to the rear bumper, the support itself may be identical and only the styrofoam on top of it is different.
