Bob...For information sake with this new thread, this is a new smaller diameter EGR pipe replacement, right? And it'* for Series II only? Because they break easy and cost a fortune?

Bill: No. I ordered a set of reamers, reamed out the upper EGR passage to .879, and expoxied .050 wall .875 OD stainless steel tubing into it. I'm fairly certain that this alone will cure the traditional ills. I used stainless because, according to several metallurgical websites, stainless does not transport heat well.
Bill Buttermore is handling the reduced diameter stovepipes (He'* shipped me one and it'* a nice piece). I plan to do my own '99 later this summer, but the manifold was sitting around so I offered it to Jesse.
In an abundance of caution, when I do mine, I will use Bill'* piece as well.
I can repair uppers for folks here for only shipping so we can get an installed base to determine how it works. Only those who do their own work, please, and if I repair the manifold, each person has to stop and think that, if it doesn't work, they get to do the job all over again. . :?

Nope that'* the idea of this upper it was drilled out to accept a sleeve and the original diameter pipe was put in. This way it is protected and the pipe diam. does not need reducing. It'* a wonderful idea and should work very well.
